Monarca Steak House Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Monarca Steak House Restaurant on Buford Highway, you’re welcomed by a space that balances openness with a warm, inviting hum. It’s the kind of place where the casual clatter of plates and gentle background music create an atmosphere both relaxed and attentive, making it a comfortable spot to unwind over a hearty meal. The dining areas offer two distinct vibes—one leaning into a lively taqueria feel, the other more of a spacious, sit-down restaurant—letting guests choose their own rhythm, whether it’s a quick bite or a leisurely evening out.
At Monarca, the experience centers around the joy of discovery at the table. The scene unfolds with an array of freshly prepared meats, inviting you to explore everything from tender churrasco to smoky tacos, alongside hearty sides and a vibrant salad bar that invites you to build your own perfect bite. The flavors speak of Latin American traditions, grounded in careful seasoning and fresh ingredients, while maintaining an approachable, familiar spirit that leaves room for sharing and savoring with friends or family.
What stands out here is the blend of conviviality and comfort. It’s a place where servers’ easy presence and the casual layout encourage conversation and slow moments between courses. While some may find pockets of quiet in the spacious dining room, the energy is buoyed by friendly staff and the promise of generous portions—especially for those drawn to the all-you-can-eat offerings, which make exploring a variety of cuts and preparations part of the pleasure.
Monarca isn’t just about filling a plate; it’s about finding small moments of delight in the act of eating together, where the freshness of homemade tortillas meets the satisfying char of grilled meats, and the occasional well-made cocktail or refreshing Jarritos adds a local flair. Whether you’re new to the neighborhood or a returning fan, this steak house invites you to settle in, share stories, and enjoy the layers of flavor and atmosphere that make it uniquely its own.

Mixed feelings about this place. The meats are ok. The person in charge of cutting the meat for you doesn't seem to care how they slice the meat for you. You may get a dried out piece. The side options they have are not delicious. The soups are good sometimes. Typically when I go to a Brazilian buffet the side options they have are very delicious and it is easy to get a full belly just from the sides. I like this place but I must be honest. Without honesty how can one improve? Without improvement how can one succeed?

Park is across the library, the menu doesn't show prices for food witch is really weird. The restaurant is big, and beautiful, a place that you can feel comfortable to dine in and perhaps get a drink, it feels new, with everything in great shape, but.... It also feels empty. I hope it changes, because the food wasn't bad. I order two tacos, one Pastor and the other Lengua. The pastor was ok, but the Lengua was very delicious. I was surprised that they gave me chips and salsa, i really appreciate that, but i hope they work on the Salsa. Out of the three they gave me for the tacos, they felt bland. I really want to see this place get full, it's a very cute and super clean restaurant.

The food was delicious! ALL YOU CAN EAT freshly cook food and steaks. Excellent atmosphere music was extremely good, I wanted to stand up and dance There are two styles of dinning environment one is more like a “taqueria” and the other more restaurant dinning style. Decoration is on point , definitely exceeded our expectations will recommend to all our friends and definitely come back.

Been here twice. Both times I visited the food was excellent. There's a wide hot bar/ salad bar. And a good variety of freshly cooked proteins.

Went for lunch buffet ($19.99 all you can eat meats!). Servers are friendly and helpful, atmosphere is casual and playful, and the food is delicious. Meats are seasoning well and there are 14 to 16 kind of cuts/meats to try. We are glad that we found this place and will be back with friends for sure.
